Desert Quest

Desert Quest is a mathematical problem solving adventure. It puts students in charge of a search plane. Their task is to find a party of lost travellers in a desert.

Whilst using the program students will:
use angles and bearings
estimate quantities
do map and compass work
gather, record and analyse data
solve problems using many approaches
make plans to move ahead

Three levels of difficulty are provided. Changing the level affects the complexity of the puzzles, the reading age of the text, and the skills required. The program is therefore suitable for a wide age range.
