SuperSpell 2 now replaces SuperSpell
The changeover to SuperSpell 2 has now taken place and the original SuperSpell is no longer available. Customers who wish to trade-up their original SuperSpell to SuperSpell 2 should contact our sales department for details on how this can be done.
SuperSpell 2
SuperSpell 2 is a completely re-written and greatly improved version of the original and successful SuperSpell program. For full details on SuperSpell 2 please refer to SuperSpell 2's main page on our web site.
What improvements have been made in SuperSpell 2?
many improvements have been made in SuperSpell 2. The program has a greatly expanded number of pre-programmed words for users to access and use. The main improvement in this area, which primary teachers and parents will especially appreciate, are the addition of SuperSpell 2's National Literacy Strategy word lists and Compound word lists. These word lists have been intelligently put together to provide a very wide choice of words with more than enough 'rule' examples in each word list.
| SuperSpell 2's word lists are grouped as follows: | |
| 3200 | SuperSpell words, in 160 word lists (the original SuperSpell word lists). |
| 2184 | National Literacy Strategy words, in 193 word lists (new for SuperSpell 2). |
| 480 | Compound words, in 24 word lists (new for SuperSpell 2). |
| 200 | User word list examples, in 10 word lists (new for SuperSpell 2 - for Primary School use). |
Altogether SuperSpell 2 contains 6064 pre-programmed words grouped into 387 word lists. This number more than doubles the number of words, and word lists, in the original program. With this amount of readily accessible words SuperSpell 2 is easily able to match the requirements of most spelling situations for ages 6 to Adult.
Other SuperSpell 2 improvements include:- Auto Correct Words feature with speech added to Word Speed and Word Memory, with words being optionally spelt as they are being corrected
- New graphics and user interface throughout
- Improved reporting and record keeping facilities
- Improved teacher control options
- Students can be grouped into 'Classes'
- Users can add speech to user created words / word lists
- Easy to use option to edit any SuperSpell 2 word list into a subset
- Includes a new comprehensively written User Guide
- CD-ROM contains files to print a useful SuperSpell 2 Student Work Booklet/s
- CD-ROM contains files for three printed written Assessment and Diagnostic Tests
- Fully Windows and MAC Compatible
